The Album...

E-mail Print

After a summer of labels and legals Polly is now officially recording her first album release.  Working closely with Sam Brown, we can expect a 'first cut' to be emerging in spring next year.

Taking some established favourites and a strong collection of new tracks, Polly is working to create an album true to her 'acoustic' heart while layering it up with a 1970's 'country rock and blues' feel, harking back to some of her long time favourites such as Crosby Stills and Nash, Bread, and Creedance Clearwater Revival.  No mean feat!  But with Sam Brown at the helm, we can expect a result full of truth, heart, and soul.  And we can't wait!!

John Illsley, of the legendary Dire Straits, has been recording his new album at British Grove Studios in London, and invited Polly to write backing vocals for several of the tracks.  So, on a wintery afternoon in January, Polly created and recorded some gorgeous melodies that will now be featuring on four tracks of the upcoming release.

Polly will also be appearing in a video session at Britsh Grove later this month in association with the album.
