Sparks fly in Sardinia

Earlier this week Polly was flown out to the stunning island of Sardinia to entertain guests at the annual charity fundraiser for SPARKS, the children's cancer charity pioneered by Ed Dubois. The playground of the super rich, Port Cervo is known for its class and ambience and Polly and fellow guitarist Steve Picken delivered their most stunning set to date, impressing even those who are not easily impressed.

The night was a rip roaring success all round, (though Polly had to draw the line at auctioning off her knee high boots in aid of the cause!!) and Polly has since received invitations to perform at several other European events, confirming her reputation as a truly first class performer and songstress.

An Offer I Couldn't Refuse...

Polly is just back from her first international gig! She and guitarist Steve Picken were invited to Rome to entertain the crowds at the ATP International Tennis Tour - the same tour that comes to Wimbledon in June. Once Federer and Nadal had finished on the courts, Polly played out a stomping set to a 3,000 strong crowd of sportspeople, celebrities and tennis fans - and went down an absolute storm!

With a live feed going out to another 15,000 people around the tournament, the huge success and rapturous feedback from the night has fuelled demand for the proposed Italian Club Tour later in the year.

The Italian Job: Part 2

Polly's manager is in talks with an Italian promotions company to arrange a club tour for the end of 2009, following her demo being heard in Rome recently. This would be in collaboration with renowned british blues artist Steve Philips of Notting Hillbillies fame, and would likely take place over the course of two weeks in November.
